Before the release of Acumatica’s newest version, users of the construction edition did not have the ability to track a project by units used or installed. With the release of 2022 R2, construction edition users will be able to capture project activities on a unit level and track project progress through a new document: a progress worksheet. There have also been changes to the daily field report that affect the tracking of project productivity.

New Progress Worksheet (PM303000) Form

In the new release, the Progress Worksheet has been added to give users the ability to capture units used for a project. A progress worksheet is entered as a new document into Acumatica. This form is available once the feature has been turned on in the Enable/Disable Features function.

On this form, a user has the ability to capture units that have been used or installed during each stage of a project. The user will create a new progress worksheet, select which project is being worked on, add cost budget lines, and specify the quantity that was used for that specific project.

The user can select Load Template as shown in the screenshot above to load all of the cost budget lines from a specific project when Acumatica has the correct settings applied. If a user were to click Select Budget Lines, a new window would appear in which a user can manually add cost budget lines that are pre-populated from a list.

Changes to the Daily Field Report (PJ304000) Form

On the Daily Field Report, which users can access in the Construction Edition of Acumatica, the Progress Worksheets tab has been added. This tab allows users to add a cost budget line and capture units used on-site right on the Daily Field Report.

When a user clicks on the complete button, shown in the screenshot below, the system created a progress worksheet linked to that Daily Field Report. There is a reference number and status related to the progress worksheet.
