As 2014 is winding down, Dynamics SL users should be aware of the year-end updates that may need to be installed soon.  The 2014 year-end updates include changes for W-2 and 1099 reporting to comply with 2014 tax regulations.

These updates are supported for use with only the following SL versions: 2011 SP 1,  2011 FP 1,  2011 SP 2,  2015

The year-end updates include the following changes:

Accounts Payable 1099s

• 1099-MISC Form: Box 11, foreign tax paid, and Box 12, foreign country or U.S. possession, are no longer used.
• 1099 Electronic Filing, Payer “A” changes:  Box 11, foreign tax paid, is removed in fields 28-43.

Payroll W-2s

• No changes to W-2 or W-3 forms.
• Electronic W-2 filing—outdated fields have been removed
