There are some limitations to which of the editions might be available with each of the licensing and subscription models. There are three types of models: Saas Subscription, Private Cloud Subscription (PCS) Licensing, or Private Cloud Perpetual (PCP). In the SaaS Subscription, you can use the SaaS service with non-perpetuals. In the Private Cloud Subscription (PCS) Licensing, you can use the software with non-perpetuals, meaning during your subscription. In the Private Cloud Perpetual (PCP) model, you are allowed to use the product with perpetual rights. If you like upfront investments, this is the right choice for you.
Licensing breaks down into transaction tiers depending on how many and what types of users, how much storage, and other factors come into play. Additionally, there is price protection for SaaS, PSC, and PCP. This allows you to know how much your product price is going to increase over the years that you use the product.
