The next major release of Microsoft Dynamics SL will be released in the first half of 2018.  There aren’t many details but here is a what we know so far:

Tighter Microsoft integration

• Power BI – Some items are available to CU2 (for projects), but more coming in SL 2018
• Power Apps – Creating applications that can access your SL data
• Flow – A way to monitor and be notified and take action on your SL data

• Release schedule will change to a quarterly (ish) release cycle – seen great success with the monthly release cycle of web apps.

• Some new features with Dynamics SL (that may be updated in a quarterly release):
  • Approval process to key Dynamics SL areas
  • Quick Query – drill back capabilities?
  • Financial modules will be optimized to reduce steps
  • Web Apps – Monthly updates to continue
  • Project improvements – streamlining approval of invoices
