Acumatica Summit 2020 Day One Recap – Acumatica Has Arrived
Seven years ago, at my first Acumatica Summit, I left knowing Polaris Business Solutions needed to become a partner. There was an excitement and a sense of community that I hadn’t seen since early Solomon Software events. At that Summit, cloud ERP was in its infancy and Acumatica’s competitors, and many others, were still doubtful of Acumatica’s future. It was still another year before Acumatica would break the 1,000 customers threshold and the company was only 6 years old. But, the enthusiasm from Acumatica’s employees and partners was convincing. Today, after the first day of Summit 2020 in Las Vegas it is now obvious – Acumatica has arrived.
Today Jon Roskill, CEO of Acumatica, shared several updates to the crowd of 2,500 attendees (last year there were “only” 1,500) that proves that there should be no doubt that Acumatica is a great investment for current and future customers and partners. Some highlights:
- 6,500 customers – last year Acumatica announced 5,200. An increase of 25% in one year
- 300 VAR partners – companies like Polaris Business Solutions who are investing their time and have the expertise to make customers succeed
- 200+ ISV partners – companies that have built additional features for the Acumatica product
- JAAS Systems acquisition – This allows for more investment into the Manufacturing Edition
- 74% of employees in R&D – Acumatica builds the products, VARs deliver it
- 2020 R2 – And of course, a new release
As we head into a new decade, Acumatica has a very bright future.
