Acumatica Summit 2019 Day Two
Jon Roskill, Acumatica’s CEO, started off Day Two focusing on Acumatica’s R&D initiatives, which can be carried out by the fact that 74% of all employees work in R&D. This focus is what makes Acumatica a fun company to partner with and the day was filled with a look at near and not too distant future.
Here are some highlights from the second day:
- Project Currency – We got to see more details on this enhancement coming in Acumatica 2019 R1. A project can have a base currency, with a specific rate type, but have transactions in other currencies.
- Cross-Module Workflows – Starting with an opportunity in CRM, creating a project quote, creating a project, updating project budgets, creating a service order, approving time and reporting all done seamlessly. And with mobile alerts
- Warehouse Management – You can now pick/pack/ship/transfer/count from the mobile app.
- The 3 “C’s” – The choice of having multiple companies in one database/tenant was restricted by the three “C’s” – currency, calendar and chart (of accounts and subaccounts). Acumatica will now allow for multiple base currencies in the same tenant and a different calendar in each company.
- Expense Report – Company credit option – yah!
- Non-programming customization – Acumatica is making it easier to customize the application (including mobile) without any coding.
- Office and Flow – Greater integration with Outlook and Microsoft Flow
- Future Technology – Using a drone to find missing inventory? Sure. Using a Hololense to perform an inspection and update Acumatica? Sure. Have Amazon Alexa speak or show you queries from Acumatica? Sure.
Acumatica is a technology company that loves technology, but is always trying to find a business case or problem to solve with it.
