Today is Leap Day and if you spend most of your day using Dynamics SL you won’t notice anything real different. It is, just another day. However, there are a couple places in the system you may want to check or update to make sure there isn’t any surprises.
When you go to print your financials for the month of February, Management Reporter (or FRx if you are still using that) will look at the GL Setup screen and pull the month ending date from the Fiscal Info tab. So, you may to make sure Period 2 (if your fiscal year is set to a calendar year) has 2/29 as the Period Ending Date. If the change isn’t made the only impact on your financials will be the date that would print in the header (“For the two months ending …”).
The other spot worth checking is Week Maintenance in Time and Expense for Projects. This could only potentially impact installations that are entering in time into Dynamics SL (or Business Portal or Web Apps) and where they typically have a week ending on the last day of the month. Make sure you have a week ending set to 02/29/2016 and not 02/28/2016 or else the time from Leap Day could go into the next period.
