In Acumatica 2023 R2, the row-level security functionality has been enhanced to include more features and functionality around projects and project visibility. Users with proper access will now be able to organize projects into specific groups to configure access in each group for users in that group.

Once the Projects Group feature is enabled, the New Projects Group Form will be accessible to those given access to it. Once given access to the form, users can create project groups like shown below:

The creation of the Project Groups will show on the Summary Tab of the Projects and Projects Templates Screen. A new box will appear to denote which Project Group can be selected for that Project. A user has the ability to specify, with proper access rights, which Project Group should be selected.

This new Project Group feature in Acumatica has created more security around visibility of Projects. With the help of row-level security, Restriction Groups by Project Groups will all users to set restrictions on who can see what groups within a project group. For example, as show in the screen shot below, within the Project Group 1, there are several more groups that are limiting access to who can view what within the group.
