2024 R2 Feature Update: Changes to Project Quote Statuses
A project quote in Acumatica ERP is a document used to estimate the potential revenue and costs of a project. This quote is sent to the customer for review and can be modified as needed until both parties reach an agreement. Once the customer agrees to the terms, the project quote is converted into a project. If no agreement is reached or internal approval is not granted, the quote is rejected.
In previous versions of Acumatica ERP, it was not possible to differentiate between project quotes rejected internally and those rejected by customers. With the release of Acumatica ERP 2024 R2, the project quote workflow now includes additional statuses and commands, enabling users to better track customer acceptance of project quotes.
Updates to the Workflow Statuses
To give users the ability to see if a customer has rejected to accept a quote, new commands have been added directly to the Projects Quotes Form. A Project Quote can be either Marked As Accepted to Marked as Declined.
The following new statues will be added as a result of the 2024 R2 update:
Accepted by Customer: The system assigns the status to a project quote when a user clicks Mark as Accepted on the More menu (see the following screenshot).
Declined by Customer: The system assigns the status to a project quote when the user clicks Mark as Declined on the More menu (see the following screenshot)
Additionally, the “prepared” status of the project quote has been renamed to “approved.” If not other approval workflow is configured for project quotes, this will indicate that the quote has been submitted and can now be sent to the customer or converted. If there is an approval workflow configured, there are different statues in which the quote could take.
