Acumatica 2022 R1 New Feature for Projects and Construction
Changes to the Projects Form
In previous versions of Acumatica, projects billed by progress could only be billed in the revenue that was in the budget lines. With the newest release of Acumatica 2022 R1, billing can now be done in both quantity and amount for the project. These changes are done in the project’s form. In the following sections, we will review these changes.
On the Tasks tab of the Projects form (PM301000), a new column has been added that will allow for the change in the billing.
In the new project billing column, there are two new options; quantity and amount. This allows a user to specify the progress billing of a task or revenue budget.
- Amount: This option is consistent with the previous version of the Acumatica ERP System. If this option is selected, the system will bill based on its amount. The user has specified the pending invoice amount in the corresponding column on the Revenue Budget tab of the Projects Form (PM301000).
- Quantity: The new function released in Acumatica 2022 R1 is billing based on quantity. In order for this function to work, the user must properly specify the number of units to be billed in the pending invoice quantity in the corresponding column on the Revenue Budget tab of the Projects Form (PM301000) seen in the below screenshot. The system is then able to do a few calculations automatically with the data that is input into the system. In addition, Acumatica will calculate the percent complete and performance values based on the budget for a project. These values will be copied into the lines of an invoice and used for the billing process.
